- What is the Aculight hair removal system?
- The Aculight hair removal system is a non - invisible light therapy device /photo-epilation, specifically designed to eliminate undesirable hair from all parts of the body.
- How does it remove hair?
- The Aculight hair removal system uses pulsed light to remove hair and impair hair regrowth. After applying a cool gel and hand held treatment to the skin, pulses of light safely penetrate the skin and disable hundreds of hair follicles simultaneously. Much of the hair is wiped off when removing the gel. The remaining hair in the treated area falls out within a week or two.
- Can all hair colours and parts of the body be treated?
- It can remove all hair colours except white from all parts of the body, as well as sensitive areas like ears, nose, chest and bikini lines.
- Is it painful?
- When a pulse of light is delivered to the hair, you may feel a mild sting or pinch.
- How many treatments are required?
- This varies depending on your hair colour and location on the body. On average 6 treatments per area are needed.
- Is the result permanent?
- YES! All hair follicles in the anagen growth cycle that have been treated by Aculight will have been permanently removed and will never grow hair again. However the hair follicles that were not in the anagen growth cycle cannot be treated, so for best results multiple treatments are required. We do not claim permanent hair removal, yet the FDA has approved aculight hair removal system to be marketed as a device for permanent hair reduction.
